		<description><![CDATA[There&#039;s a pretty strong Tiki theme at my local Trader Joe&#039;s in La Canada, California. I keep meaning to take pictures of it!

I used to work for Trader Joe&#039;s back in the 90&#039;s... Back when they lifted the font from Trader Vic&#039;s in the early 70&#039;s - the &quot;connection&quot; with TV&#039;s was much stronger. I believe quite a few Trader Joe&#039;s had a good deal of Witco &amp; Oceanic Arts tikis, along with nautical &amp; Polynesian decor.
Here&#039;s a photo of me in 1996, &quot;liberating&quot; a tiki that was going in the trash:
