Classic Los Angeles-area tiki restaurant Bahooka was reportedly used recently for filming a scene in an upcoming Jim Carrey film. Bahooka was closed for filming on Monday, December 26. IMDb reports that filming is currently underway for the Jim Carrey vehicle The Number 23, a movie about “man [who] becomes obsessed with a book that appears to be based on his life but ends with a murder that has yet to happen in real life.” Bahooka was also used for filming scenes from Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas. Hard to say how extensively Bahooka was used this time, and if it will even be recognizable in the final product, but keep your eyes peeled for light-up plastic parrots when the film is released.
