I love Drink in Boston - but you forgot a long-time faux tiki bar in Boston - Eastern Standard. Jackson Cannon's team has a section called Tikisms on it and many of the bartenders are doing secret stuff behind the bar on top of that. I always ask for what's being concocted.

There is also RUMBA in Boston which is a Rum Bar (duh). They used to offer a real MaiTai and have a maikai-like selection of rums there. It's somewhat sceney for Mr. Ho's tastes.

I ADORE Zig Zag! But I don't remember seeing any tiki drinks on the menu there... have they had some special tiki nights, or are there particular tiki drinks they keep ingredients on-hand for?

(I wanted to stick to places that can go beyond the Mai Tai, since pretty much all the really good cocktail bars can do a solid Mai Tai -- and isn't THAT amazing? It's stunning how things have changed, and so swiftly. Whoda thunk?)
